Homes Theme Week Results February 2018

Thank you to all the parents and carers who came to our open afternoon on Thursday 8th February. The hall was buzzing with excitement and interest both from parents and pupils. I know the children loved sharing all their learning and creativity and were so proud of the project they had been involved in. The hall looked fantastic with such a wide range of ideas. It is amazing what you can produce with a box as a starting point!

We asked the children to complete a pupil questionnaire just before half term and many parents completed a questionnaire on open afternoon. The results from both questionnaires support our belief that it was a success.

Additional comments;

  • Lovely to see so much creativity on display
  • I know both my children really enjoy and look forward to theme week and I enjoy the unusual and expansive facts that make their way home. It broadens their horizons. Hooray !
  • Great engagement for all the kids !
  • Great way to get all year groups working on a common topic. Really encourages children to work together – incredibly creative. Love it !!
  • My daughter couldn’t wait to get to school . She was very engaged by the project.
  • Wonderful thank you.
  • Fabulous effort and beautifully created.
  • I just wanted to pass on my thanks and total admiration to all the staff involved in this wonderful project. Seeing the work this morning moved me to tears! So much creativity, amazing ideas, hard work and inspiration in one room. The photos, writing and the work itself showed how much it had captured the children's imagination and how much they had learned in such a short period of time. I loved the way the whole curriculum could be seen within the work, learning really is FUN!
