Sports Day Friday 30th June 10am

This year’s annual Sports Day will be held on Friday 30th June, weather permitting! The children will be competing for their houses using a range of skills that they have learnt in different sports over the year. There will also be the traditional sprint races. Sports Day will be followed, as always, by a picnic lunch on the field.

***If your child has ordered a school lunch they will have a packed lunch provided instead consisting of a cheese sandwich, vegetable sticks/baby tomatoes, a piece of fruit, cake/biscuit and a carton of flavoured water. ***

• Lunch time will be at 1pm – 1.45pm. Weather permitting ALL pupils and parents will sit outside on the field and eat their picnic they have brought. All those pupils who have booked a cooked lunch have been provided with a packed lunch which is to be collected from their classrooms. Children can then join their parent’s on the field for a picnic. Rubbish bins will be provided. Parents/carers/family members leave by 1.45pm. Pupils will be dismissed as normal at 3.30pm.
• The Friends’ will also be selling ice lollies (50p) at lunchtime. If you are unable to attend Sports Day and you would like your child to buy an ice lolly please ensure they have some pocket money in a named envelope.
•  If you do have to drive to come to Sports Day PLEASE AVOID PARKING in Chapel Square and park considerately along High Street North. Unfortunately, due to health and safety reasons, we are not able to open the school grounds for parking as Sports Day is being held during school hours.
•  If you are unable to attend Sports Day we will ensure your child joins their friends for lunch.
•  Reserve Sports Day (if 30th June postponed due to rain) is Monday 3rd July
