The School Council are a group of school pupils, led by Mrs Clarke who work with ideas to improve the school and decide which charities to support. There is a boy and girl from Year 1-6, chosen by their fellow pupils to represent their class.
The School Council took part in the Dedication Service for Kathy England in December. She was a governor at our school for 17 years from 1989 to 2006. During this time she was a Parent Governor followed by a LEA Governor and finally an Associate Member of the Governing Body. She was also Chair of the Governing Body for a number of years for which she gained tremendous respect. The Trustees of the school with agreement of Kathy’s family have purchased an Arbour seat in memory of Kathy which is situated in a clearing at the far end of our school field in the quiet area. There was a dedication ceremony in school with representatives of Kathy’s family, the Trustees, past Governors and School Council representatives. The School Council representatives also sprinkled some poppy seeds in the area around the seating.
